About Under Authority

Based in: St. John's, NFLD. When: Since 1998. Who: Five "guys". (Joey=Drummer, Chris=Singer, Roger=Guitar, Craig=Bass, Kevin=Guitar) It all started way back in '96 when Joey, Craig, Roger and Kevin got together to play some tunes at a crappy battle of the bands at their high school, with Roger on vocals. They jammed together for the next few years, playing songs without knowing who was going to sing. Kevin was briefly ejected from the band during this time for not showing up at the practises. He got his act together soon and was readmitted. The permanent lineup was formed in '97 when they found Chris. This lineup started playing a pile of fast cool punk songs and took it from there. On March 30, 2000 they were signed to Dirtneck Records.
