The Rolf & Joachim Kühn Quartet's album Re Union In Berlin is a stunning showcase of the group's virtuosity and dynamic range. Featuring the Kühn brothers on clarinet and piano respectively, along with bassist Johannes Weidenmueller and drummer Eric Harland, the quartet delivers a set of original compositions and standards that brim with energy and creativity.

From the opening track "Shiva's Dance," a lively fusion of Indian rhythms and jazz harmonies, to the dreamy ballad "Sunset in Santa Monica," the quartet demonstrates a remarkable chemistry and precision. Rolf and Joachim's interplay is particularly impressive, as they weave intricate melodies and harmonies around each other with ease.

The album also features several standout tracks, including the haunting "Farewell," a tribute to the late pianist John Taylor, and the upbeat "Blues for D.S.," a nod to the legendary saxophonist Dexter Gordon. Throughout the album, the quartet's improvisational skills are on full display, as they take the listener on a journey through a wide range of emotions and moods.

One of the best German CBS LP'S! really regret selling my reissie.I hope they repress it on wax or at least make CD available. Y. Freund's 'Yogi Jazz' is my favorite for obvious reasons. 'Now Jazz Ramwong' by Albert Manglesdorf is sublime. Clarke Boland's 'Swing for Bahnhof' German CBS w/ Sahib that has the live cuts on 'Companionship'. I will never forget trading my original ex+ original Debut of Sahibs Jazz Party for an original Yogi Jazz that was visually mint but noisy as fuck! I was in tears. Then Sawano released the CD, lol. Oh well. The heavy Japanese wax of Jazz Party is in stereo and sounds incredible.

By the way... Thank you so much for uploading this! I really appreciate it. Took forever for someone to do the right thing.
Do you know any shop who has L & R German CDs of this Kuhn title? I believe Trunk or Be! may have issued it more recently too.
