Early EMI pressing with removable/Replaceable centre. Whist this may, at a glance, look like other standard releases, If you Look closely at the prongs of the centre hub, they are square not angled. This is because this type of centre is held in place by the paper label only. It can be pushed out without breaking the vinyl prongs and therefore, replaced afterwards to play, once again, on a small spindle. Hence the format Removable / Replaceable centre. This was an early EMI design to satisfy both the jukebox operators and general public. This type of centre was only manufactured between 1954 and 1957 alongside the 'Removable once' type centres, but was abandoned in 1957 for the more common 'removable once' type centres used throughout the remainder of the 50s, 60s,70s, and 80s by EMI. Made in very small numbers, some of Elvis Presley's early HMV releases have this 'removable / replaceable' type centre hub.
Issued on black paper labels in a generic Capitol paper sleeve, printed in U.K.
