Klaus Schulze (4 August 1947, Berlin 26 April 2022) was a German electronic music pioneer, composer and musician. Schulze initially made his mark as a drummer, first with the group Psy Free, later with Tangerine Dream (he played on their first album "Electronic Meditation" before he quit) and Ash Ra Tempel (with Manuel Göttsching). In 1971 Schulze started a solo career as an electronic musician and released a couple of heavily experimental albums, "Irrlicht" and "Cyborg". 1973's "Cyborg" was the first release where he used a "real" synthesizer, the legendary VCS 3 and later in the 1970s he would record albums such as "Moondawn

Not one his best albums, the drumming is very basic and the chord progressions are the same, I certainly wouldn’t listen again. It would take a lot to dissuade me from listening to X and Body Love Vol 2, l thought those were among his best works.

Semana del 25 al 29 de abril de 2022, triste semana para los seguidores de la música de Tangerine Dream y en particular de uno de sus fundadores Klaus Schultz. Porque a los 74 años de edad, muere éste infatigable investigador de los teclados y de la música electrónica espacial. Dejando una colección de excelentes trabajos. Como una casualidad previo a esta semana, estaba disfrutando de algunas de sus obras, y se dá la desaparición física de de KS, pero su legado queda, pues larga vida inclusive después de la vida...

I just love how The Klaus can write songs that go on FOREVER and yet never get dull or lose their energy, and seem to fly by in seconds. A lot of ambient sends me to sleep, but Klaus keeps me in a state of relaxed perpetual alertness, like an extremely chilled musical ninja.
