Review by Amy Hammond Hagberg

Hot Tuna's "Live At Sweetwater Two" is an electrifying album that captures the energy and spirit of the band's live performances. Recorded at the legendary Sweetwater music hall in California, the album features 12 tracks that showcase the band's virtuosity and improvisational skills.

From the opening notes of "I Wish You Would" to the closing chords of "Water Song," Hot Tuna delivers a masterful performance that will leave listeners tapping their feet and nodding their heads in appreciation. The band's signature blend of blues, rock, and folk is on full display, with Jorma Kaukonen's nimble guitar work and Jack Casady's thundering bass lines driving each song forward.

Highlights of the album include the funky groove of "Funky #7," the soulful ballad "Good Shepherd," and the epic jam of "Keep Your Lamps Trimmed and Burning." Throughout the album, the band's chemistry is palpable, with each member feeding off the energy of the others to create a truly dynamic and engaging performance.
