As The Last Light Drains by Freya is an album that takes the listener on a journey through the depths of darkness and despair. The album is a collection of 10 tracks that are both haunting and beautiful, with each song telling its own story.
From the opening track "Serpentine" to the closing track "The Spectre," the album is a masterclass in atmospheric metal. The guitars are heavy, the drums are thunderous, and the vocals are hauntingly beautiful.
The standout track on the album is "Gnawing From Inside," which features a beautiful piano intro that leads into a crushing guitar riff. The vocals on this track are particularly impressive, with the singer switching effortlessly between clean and harsh vocals.
